Sacred Book Source website is a website committed to the sharing and better understanding of the world's Sacred Books belonging to each of the world's major religions. We hold that by gaining a better understanding of the best and most inspiring parts of one another's Sacred Books, that members of all religions stand to gain in mutual respect and tolerance of their cobelievers, regardless of which faith they might believe in or follow.

We hold that while there is probably an endless list of ways to misunderstand the core of any religion, there is also probably an endless list of ways that one can learn to better understand and respect the highest aspirations of these very same religions. It is for this latter purpose that this website came into being. This site was first proposed as a response to pastor Terry Jones' attempt in 2011 to sow animosity and ill-will between Christians and Muslims by publicly burning Korans.

We hold that mankind is better served by the sowing of mutual respect and not by attack, agression or fear. We believe that by choosing to work for a better understanding and tolerance between the believers of all faiths, that we can begin to dispell the misjudgments and baseless fears that may seem to divide us. Thus, for every Koran that Pastor Jones has burnt, the generous sponsors of this site, the World Religions Forum and others have offered to sponsor the printing and free distribution of 1,001 more Korans and also 1,000 more Christian Bible New Testaments, available including free shipping, for the first 1,001 requests.  (We are printing 1 more Koran than Bibles to replace the one Koran destroyed by Mr. Jones.)

These sacred books are to be shipped for free to the first 1,001 online applicants to fill out our online request form for their free copy of the Koran or Bible or both. Currently, since Mr. Jones has only burnt one Koran to date, there are now only 1,001 free Korans available, free of charge, shipped free to within the United States, and also 1,000 free Bible New Testaments available. Should Mr. Jones burn another Koran, then 1,001 more Korans and 1,000 more Bible New Testaments will be printed and ready for free shipping as well.
